Yoshida Foods International is looking to hire an Industrial Sauce Cook! The position is responsible for following instructions on batch ingredients to make sauce. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits. This position is physical work in an industrial manufacturing facility.
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 3:30 AM-6 PM (flexible hours preferred).
Pay: $18.00-$19.50 DOE.
Start date: ASAP (no later than Monday, April 20)
EXPERIENCE IN FOOD OR CHEMICAL MANUFACTURING IS PREFERRED BUT WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.

Essential Job Duties:
- Read daily schedule and ingredient labels.
- Able to control touch screen panel for the addition of bulk ingredients, control agitation, steam, and pumping of finished sauce.
- Work closely with QA to maintain consistency of product.
- Keep lot code and quality records.
- Understand Good Manufacturing Practices to make safe quality food.
- Must be able to ‘multi task’ - there may be more than one mix in various stages of cooking at any one time.
- Keep work space clean and follow all safety protocols.
- Collaborating with the warehouse department on inventory and forklift items to staging area
Required Skills/experience:
- 1+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry preferred.
- General mathematics skills: addition, subtraction, division, fractions.
- Language skills - must be able to read English, follow instructions & communicate with team members.
- Reasoning ability
- Physical: Standing, walking, lifting, able to remain on feet for 90% of day.
- Tolerate mild chemicals, spices, strong odors. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pound bags of ingredients.
- RF scanner experience a plus.
Job Conditions and Environment:
- Work performed in the production line, and warehouse.
- Subject to temperature variation, long hours standing on concrete and occasion shift changing due to order demands or (training/staffing changes) Physical: Standing for extended periods, walking through crowded production plant, able to remain on feet for 90% of the day.
- Must be able to tolerate mild chemicals, spices, and strong odors.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-pound bags of ingredients.
