Yoshida Foods International, LLC is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician (industrial food manufacturing)! This will be QA of sauce and carbonated beverage products.
Position Overview:
- This position is responsible for monitoring production and completing laboratory and inspection tasks on FINISHED FOOD PRODUCTS AND INGREDIENTS.
- This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.
- Day shift position.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Pays $18.00-$21.00 per hour to start depending on experience.

Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain HAACP, GMP, Food Safety, and FIFO standards.
- Perform standard quality procedures during production, maintain accurate documentation, and report nonconformities to supervisors.
- Reference procedures, specifications, and logs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with production team employees when nonconforming results are documented. Remain engaged until an acceptable result is achieved. Assist in notifying managers and management if operators cannot correct the problem.
- Perform lab analyses as required and requested.
- Verify calibration of lab equipment against standards to ensure accurate results.
- Verify lot codes, expiration dates, and use of correct product specifications on the line.
- Issue hold and rework numbers and labels for non-conforming products.
- Assist with obtaining samples and other light duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Attention to detail and information retention.
- High school level experience with chemistry.
- Good math literacy - averages, minimums, maximums, ranges, decimals, and rounding.
- Persistent and professional communication of lab information.
- Able to stay on track of multiple tasks that must be completed at different frequencies.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and other software or willingness to learn.
- Must occasionally lift to 30 pounds.
- Must pass a drug test.
Job Conditions and Environment:
- Work performed in production, warehouse, and laboratory.
